Brief

In response to the increasing ethical considerations around data privacy, Stats NZ wanted to run a conference and needed a creative design agency with the brains and skills to make it iconic. Stats NZ looked no further than Wonderlab for the conference design and we went to work to bring top quality design to make the event attractive and memorable.

The project

Creating the visual identity for the conference

The goal

Create a look and feel for a brand new conference, build a digital platform to inform and facilitate signups and create interest.

The process

Working very closely with the project team at Stats NZ we developed a simple but visually memorable identity. Creating a fully mobile-ready platform to house all conference info, programme and speaker bios, was complemented by a raft of collateral needed.

The deliverables

We created all print and digital design media for the event. Then employed social media marketing strategies to engage relevant audiences.

Outcome

An overwhelming success!

4,000+ website visits

Our use of social media marketing drove over 4,000 people to the event website in just 6 weeks! These high engagement numbers led to a great amount of interest in the event.

Social media reach of 7,000+

During the event #datasummit18 became the number one hashtag trending on Twitter and our Facebook ads reached over 7,000 people.

Unforgettable event

Stats NZ were thrilled with the response to the event and the 300 attendees came away raving. A major success for an inaugural conference!

Wonderlab were magicians when it came to producing urgent creative for an event with a small budget and incredibly tight timeframe. No fuss, no bother, just shear brilliance. The campaign, and its supporting collateral, far exceeded our expectations. Wonderlab were incredibly responsive and proactive and no detail was ever too small to talk through. It was a pleasure to work with such a talented, professional and capable team.
